The biggest reason why I chose to study Japanese in English because I am really interested in Japanese animation and the language itself (the pronunciation of Japanese is beautiful). I watched a number of Japanese animations since I was little. I started to learn drawing and painting just because I watched movies produced by Miyazaki Hayao. His movies accompanied my whole childhood.I just watched a Japanese animation this weekend, and I would like to recommend it to you. The name of the movie in English is You Are Umasou.
